The garment featured his signature relaxed fit, paired with her sleek black pants and loose waves. Fans quickly clocked it as his from past red carpet looks and casual paparazzi snaps. “One half of Hollywood’s most private power couple just served the ultimate husband appreciation post,” Jimmy Fallon joked on air, as reported by E! Online. Mendes laughed it off, sharing how the sweater became her go-to for travel days.The couple’s chemistry dates back to 2011 on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines, where they played ex-lovers sharing a son. Sparks flew off-screen during filming, with early PDA spotted at Disneyland. “They were very playful. Eva was skipping around like a little girl. She would lean into him and held his arm the entire time,” a source told Us Weekly back then. Their bond deepened through collaborations like Gosling’s 2014 directorial debut Lost River, starring Mendes. She later reflected to Oprah Magazine, “The two times we’ve collaborated have been the two best experiences in my career.”
