The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final results of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025. A total of 958 candidates have been recommended for appointment to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Central Services. Anuj Agnihotri secured All India Rank (AIR) 1, Rajeshwari Suve M claimed AIR 2, and Akansh Dhull achieved AIR 3.Among the selected candidates, there is a balanced representation of genders, with 11 women in the top 25 and 14 men. Candidates hail from diverse categories, including 317 from the General category, 104 from the EWS category, 306 from the OBC category, 158 from the SC category, and 73 from the ST category, reflecting UPSC’s inclusive selection process.Among the top achievers, Akansh Dhull from Chandigarh emerged as a standout, securing the prestigious All India Rank 3. His dedication and consistent performance have earned him recognition as one of the country’s finest young talents, following Anuj Agnihotri (AIR 1) and Rajeshwari Suve M (AIR 2).Early Life and Education Akansh Dhull, aged 22, has brought pride to Chandigarh and Haryana by securing All India Rank 3 in the UPSC CSE 2025. Son of Haryana BJP leader Krishna Dhull, Akansh’s achievement has been celebrated across his city and state.He completed his schooling in Chandigarh, initially at Saint Kabir Public School and later at Bhavan Vidyalaya, before moving to Delhi for higher studies. A commerce graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), he completed his B.Com in 2025 and focused on civil services preparation soon after.Journey to UPSC SuccessIn a mock interview with Drishti IAS and Unacademy, Akansh shared his motivation: “My parents nudged me to do this, and I was good in academics, so I thought it could be a good opportunity for me to try. Being from Haryana, I have seen how civil services can impact the lives of people.”Having previously attempted the exam, he secured 342nd rank in 2024 and 295th rank in 2025. With persistent effort and strategic preparation, he achieved AIR 3 in 2025, highlighting the importance of resilience and dedication in cracking one of India’s toughest exams.Father’s Pride: Krishna Dhull ReactsAccording to an ANI video, Krishna Dhull, a prominent BJP leader in Haryana, expressed immense pride in his son’s accomplishment: “Akansh has worked incredibly hard for this. Our family is overjoyed. His dedication and focus throughout this journey are truly commendable. We always believed he had the potential to achieve great success, and today he has made us proud not just as parents, but also as citizens witnessing a young talent representing our state at the national level.”Family Support: A Key FactorAkansh also credits his mother, a school principal, for her constant guidance and support.
