Madhya Pradesh horror: Man bludgeons 16-year-old boy to death with hammer, eats his flesh and drinks blood

BHOPAL: In a terrifying incident, a 16-year-old boy was allegedly bludgeoned to death with a hammer by a villager in Damoh who, according to eyewitnesses, then ate parts of the victim’s brain, drank his blood and smeared it over his face before fleeing into nearby fields. Police arrested the accused and registered a murder case.The incident occurred in the Dehat police station area when the victim, identified as Bharat Vishwakarma, a resident of Arthkheda village under the Imalia outpost, was visiting his sister at Samanna on the occasion of Bhai Dooj.

According to police and family members, Bharat was accompanied by his cousin Vijay Vishwakarma when they were allegedly confronted by Gudda Patel, a resident of the same village.Vijay told police that the accused suddenly attacked Bharat with an iron rod before striking him repeatedly with a hammer. The accused allegedly hit the teenager’s head multiple times.The cousin, who witnessed the attack, managed to escape and later alerted villagers. He alleged that after killing Bharat, the accused behaved in an extremely depraved and disturbing manner as he consumed parts of the victim’s flesh.Following the attack, the accused fled toward nearby agricultural fields carrying the hammer, said villagers, who watched the horrific events unfold. They informed the Dehat police, which rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. The accused was later found hiding in the fields.During the operation, he allegedly tried to threaten villagers and police personnel, flashing his weapon. However, as he dropped the weapon, locals pounced on him. He was soon overpowered and handed over to the police.Eyewitnesses told police that the accused has a criminal past, as he was convicted earlier for murdering his wife about two decades ago.He served a prison sentence and was reportedly released about two years ago.Meanwhile, police said the remains of the bludgeoned minor were sent for postmortem examination and would be handed over to the family after the procedure.The sleuths also booked the accused for murder and were questioning him to determine the motive behind the macabre killing.Further investigation is underway, police said.
