NCERT recruitment 2026 registration ends today at ncert.nic.in; check direct link to apply here

NCERT recruitment 2026: The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) will close the registration process for NCERT recruitment 2026 today, March 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Interested candidates who have not yet applied still have time to complete the online application process through the official website ncert.nic.in.The council had earlier issued Advertisement No. 177/2026 to fill a total of 117 academic vacancies across its campuses. The recruitment drive includes teaching positions as well as library posts.According to the official notification, applications must be submitted only through the online portal. Forms sent through any other mode will not be accepted.

NCERT recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria

The eligibility requirements, age limits, and service conditions will follow the latest regulations of the University Grants Commission (UGC), along with the rules of the Government of India and NCERT.Candidates are advised to carefully review the official notification for details related to:

  • Educational qualifications
  • Required academic and research experience
  • Reservation policy
  • Category-wise age relaxation

NCERT recruitment 2026: Vacancy details

Out of the total vacancies announced:114 posts are for teaching positions, including Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor. 3 posts are for library positions, including Deputy Librarian and Assistant Librarian.Selected candidates may be posted at NCERT campuses located in New Delhi, Ajmer, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Mysuru, and Shillong.

NCERT recruitment 2026: Application fee

The application fee varies according to category.

  • Candidates belonging to Unreserved (UR), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) categories need to pay Rs 1000.
  • Applicants from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

The fee must be paid online during the submission of the application form.

  3. Go to Vacancy and then select Academic.
  4. Register and fill in the application form.
