Gujarat Police announces final selection list for 472 unarmed P.O.S.I candidates

The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has officially declared the final selection and waiting lists for Unarmed Police Sub Inspectors under Advertisement No.: GPRB/202324/1. The lists cover 472 vacancies and are now available on the recruitment board website. Candidates can review the merit and waiting lists and follow the next steps as instructed by the authorities.The provisional and emergency selection lists were originally issued on February 23, 2026. After receiving the representations, the applicants were directed to send their supporting documents to the office of the Recruitment Board at Bangla No.12, Near Sarita Udyan, Sector 09, Gandhinagar-3 82 007, Mumbai, on February 28, 2026, by 17:30. The Recruitment Board processed the applications with the consultation of the Ministry of Justice. Updates following document verificationThe board made adjustments to individual candidates’ records after document verification. Dipali Govindbhai Jambukiya had her sports qualification added, while Jaydip Jayendrakumar Joshi’s conditional sports qualification was cancelled. Himanshukumar Vajeshinh Rathva’s ST candidacy was invalidated by the Departmental Analysis Committee, Vadodara, and Niyati Dhirajlal Dhaduk and Bhavna Udayram Vyas were included in the merit list following cut-off considerations for general category female candidates.Final cut-off marks by category

Caste certificate verificationVerification of caste certificates is ongoing for SEBC and ST candidates. The Social Justice and Empowerment Department and the Scheduled Caste Development Department will determine eligibility based on certificate validation. Candidates with pending verification will have their final eligibility confirmed by the Director General of Police and the Chief Police Officer.Selection priorities in case of tieIn the event of identical scores, older candidates are given preference based on date of birth. Height is considered if both score and age are identical. If any clerical or technical mistakes are noticed during the selection process, the corrections will be made accordingly. The next steps regarding the selection of the candidates from the final selection list or the waiting list will be taken by the Office of the Director General of Police and the Chief Police Officer at Police Bhawan, Gandhinagar.
