RRB Group D 2026: CEN No. 09/2025 registration deadline revised to March 9

The Railway Recruitment Boards under the Government of India’s Ministry of Railways have extended the closing date for submission of online applications under CEN No. 09/2025 for recruitment to various posts in Level 1 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix.The recruitment drive covers 22,195 vacancies under the Group D category. The revised schedule was issued through Corrigendum No. 4, following earlier corrigenda that amended Annexure-A and Annexure-B of the original notification published on January 31, 2026.Revised application and fee payment schedule announcedAs per the latest notice, the closing date and time for online submission of applications has been extended to March 9, 2026 (23:59 hrs). Earlier, the deadline was March 2, 2026 (23:59 hrs).The last date for payment of the application fee for submitted applications has been revised to March 11, 2026 (23:59 hrs), in place of the earlier March 4, 2026 (23:59 hrs).The modification window for corrections in the application form, along with payment of the prescribed modification fee, will now remain open from March 12, 2026 to March 21, 2026 (23:59 hrs). Previously, this facility was scheduled from March 5, 2026 to March 14, 2026 (23:59 hrs). Details entered in the ‘Create an Account’ form and the chosen Railway cannot be altered.Eligible scribe candidates must submit their scribe details on the application portal between March 22, 2026 and March 26, 2026. The earlier notified dates for this process were March 15, 2026 to March 19, 2026.

RRB extends last date for Level 1 recruitment applications

Eligibility criteria and fee structure remain unchangedApplicants must possess the prescribed educational and technical qualifications mentioned in CEN No. 09/2025 from a recognised board, institute or university on or before March 2, 2026. The minimum age for applying is 18 years and the maximum age is 33 years.The application fee for General category candidates is Rs 500, of which Rs 400 will be refunded after deducting applicable bank charges once the candidate appears for the Computer-Based Test. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, Female, Transgender, Minority communities and Economically Backward Class categories are required to pay Rs 250, which will be refunded after appearing for the test.The Boards stated that all other terms and conditions of CEN No. 09/2025 remain unchanged and advised candidates to regularly visit the official RRB websites for updates.
