NOIDA: A man was shot dead in Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida on Tuesday, police said. The incident took place within the jurisdiction of the Ecotech-I police station. The incident occurred under the jurisdiction of Ecotech-I Police Station. The victim, identified as Nitin, a resident of Luksar and son of Phire, was allegedly shot by Sachin and his associates over an old rivalry. CCTV footage purportedly shows several men dragging Nitin to the ground before firing multiple rounds at him. A woman is also seen stepping out of a nearby house, while one of the accused appears to threaten the victim with a firearm. Nitin sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead during treatment. Senior police officials, along with a forensic team, inspected the crime scene soon after receiving information. Based on a complaint filed by the informant, an FIR has been registered. Police said two suspects have been taken into custody after examining CCTV footage and conducting raids. Multiple teams have been formed to trace the remaining accused. Officials maintained that the law and order situation is under control and further legal action is underway.
