Winona Ryder, fresh out of the success of ‘Stranger Things’, has now joined the cast of ‘Wednesday’ for the upcoming Season 3. The makers dropped a trailer announcement, giving fans a glimpse of the cast reel for the new season. Ryder will reportedly have a guest star role that is currently under wraps. She will be among the new stars joining the franchise, including Eva Green, who was previously announced as portraying Morticia Addams’ sister, Ophelia, one of the most mysterious figures in the Wednesday universe.

With this, Ryder also reunites with her ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ co-star Jenna Ortega, who plays the titular character. Also joining ‘Wednesday’ Season 3 is Oscar Morgan, one of the breakout stars of the hit ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’. The long list of new cast members joining Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers, will include Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor and Kennedy Moyer.
About ‘Wednesday’ Season 3
‘Wednesday’ season 3 will pick up after the cliffhanger in season 2 that saw Wednesday set out to find her friend Enid. As the trailer suggests, ‘End Enid’ could tease that the much-loved character’s life may just be in danger. In a statement to Tudum, the show will see Wednesday Addams’ new misadventures push her further than ever before. “Our goal for Season 3 is the same as it is for every season: to make it the best season of Wednesday we possibly can,” said showrunner Alfred Gough, while co-creator and co-showrunner, Miles Millar added, “We want to continue digging deeper into our characters while expanding the world of Nevermore and Wednesday. We will be seeing more Addams family members and learning more family secrets in Season 3!”As per the latest update, the series has officially gone into production. However, a release date announcement is still awaited.
