Armenia allows Visa-free travel for eligible Indian passport holders until July 2026: Check your eligibility

In a bid to boost tourism, Armenia has announced a temporary visa-free entry for Indian passport holders. The new policy will remain valid until July 1, 2026 (subject to specific eligibility). It is a significant move to attract more international tourists to the country. The news was officially shared by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As per information published on Armenia’s official tourism and consular platforms (armenia.travel and https://www.mfa.am/), the visa waiver applies to Indian citizens with valid residence permits from select countries and regions. Let’s find out more about this new policy.Who can apply for Visa-Free EntryAs per official information issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Indian passport holders are eligible for visa-free travel only if they have a valid residence permit issued by one of the following:United States of AmericaMember states of the European UnionSchengen Area countriesGulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and OmanThe residence permit must be valid for at least six months (beyond the date of entry into Armenia). Travellers meeting this requirement may enter Armenia without a visa and stay for up to 180 days within a 12-month period.

Those who do not have an eligible residence permit must continue to apply for an Armenian visa.
