Samsung's new SmartThings Home Care wants to fix your AC before it breaks down
Samsung’s new 2026 Bespoke AI air conditioners now feature SmartThings Home Care, a system that proactively monitors your AC’s health. It detects issues like low refrigerant or clogged filters, notifying you before problems escalate. This smart technology shares diagnostic data with service centers, ensuring technicians arrive prepared with the correct parts for a first-time fix, saving you time and hassle.

Samsung is introducing SmartThings Home Care, a preventive maintenance feature, with its 2026 Bespoke AI air conditioner lineup that automatically monitors your AC, flags issues early, and ensures technicians show up ready to fix things on the first visit. The feature essentially turns your air conditioner into a self-reporting appliance. It continuously tracks performance metrics, detects problems like refrigerant gas shortages or clogged filters, and sends push notifications to users before things get worse. Think of it as a health check-up for your AC—except you don’t have to remember to book one.

No more back-and-forth with service centres

The real pitch here is convenience. Instead of the usual cycle of noticing weak cooling, calling customer care, waiting for a technician, and then waiting again because they didn’t carry the right part—SmartThings Home Care shares diagnostic data with service centres in advance. So when a technician does show up, they already know what’s wrong and come equipped with the right spare parts.Samsung says the system enables “first-time fix” repairs, cutting down on repeat visits and downtime. For a country where AC servicing typically spikes right before peak summer—often with long wait times—that’s a practical improvement. The feature will be available across Samsung’s 2026 Bespoke AI AC range, on sale through Samsung.com, leading e-commerce platforms, and retail stores nationwide.
