UAE Ministry of Education announces job vacancies: Roles, eligibility and how to apply, all you need to know

The UAE Ministry of Education has opened applications for a new round of educational and administrative positions, inviting both citizens and expatriates to apply through its official recruitment platform as part of efforts to strengthen staffing standards and improve learning outcomes across the public education system.The ministry said the openings cover a wide range of academic disciplines. Teaching roles are available in Arabic, English, mathematics, science, kindergarten, art education, and physical education for female teachers. In addition, vacancies have been announced for digital department managers, reflecting the growing emphasis on technology-led education.Specialist roles are also open for drama teachers. Applicants for these posts must hold a bachelor’s degree in acting, directing, theatre, or performing arts, the ministry confirmed.

Academic, experience and age criteria

To be considered, applicants must hold at least a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field and have a minimum of two years’ teaching experience. Candidates are also required to demonstrate fluency in both Arabic and English, covering spoken and written communication.The ministry stipulated that a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required, while the upper age limit is set at 55 years for certain positions.

Language testing and licensing requirements

As part of its standards framework, the ministry requires applicants to hold an IELTS General score of at least 6.5. Successful candidates must also commit to obtaining a professional practice licence within the first two years of appointment.Those interested in applying are required to submit their applications through the ministry’s official recruitment website. Applicants must create a new account, upload the necessary documents, complete personal data forms and CV details, select the appropriate vacancy, and submit their application online.The ministry said the recruitment drive reflects its continued focus on attracting qualified professionals capable of supporting the long-term development of the UAE’s education sector.
