“The full Barack Obama “monkey video” portrays numerous elected officials, Republicans and Democrats, as Lion King-like characters, with Trump as a lion and king of the jungle. Interesting how this fact is not being reported on,” she said. The AI-generated video, posted on X in October 2025, depicted several prominent Democrats as animals bowing before Trump. In the full clip, President Joe Biden appears as a baboon, Vice President Kamala Harris as a tortoise, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer as a zebra, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries as a meerkat, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as a donkey, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani as a hyena, and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton as a warthog. The video sparked widespread backlash after Trump shared it. Press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the outrage over ‘racist’ video was fake, as it was from an internet meme video.
