TS POLYCET 2026 registration begins at polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in: Direct link, application details here

The State Board of Technical Education and Training (SBTET), Telangana has opened the TS POLYCET 2026 registration for students seeking admission into diploma courses in engineering, agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry and related streams. The online application process began in early February 2026 on the official portal polycet.sbtet.telangana.gov.in. Students who have passed their Class 10/SSC or equivalent are eligible to apply. Registration without late fee will close on April 20, 2026, giving candidates sufficient time to complete their applications. The entrance exam is scheduled for May 13, 2026 and will be held in offline mode across various centres in Telangana.

How to apply and important dates

Students must visit the official TS POLYCET website and complete the online application form with personal, academic details and necessary documents. Candidates should upload a recent passport-size photograph and signature as per specifications. The registration will remain open until April 20, 2026 for the standard application window. Applicants missing this deadline can still apply with a late fee of Rs 100 on April 21 and tatkal fee of Rs 300 on April 22, 2026. Eligibility criteria for TS POLYCET 2026

To be eligible, students must have passed the SSC (Class 10) or equivalent exam from a recognised board with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks. Both regular pass candidates and those who have passed compartment exams are eligible to apply. The exam is open to students seeking entry into three-year diploma programmes in engineering and related fields in government, government-aided, and private polytechnic institutes across Telangana.

Exam structure and fees

The TS POLYCET 2026 exam will be for 2 hours and 30 minutes and include multiple-choice questions (MCQs) from subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The question paper will have around 150 questions. There is no negative marking, and each correct answer carries one mark. Application fees are Rs 500 for general candidates and Rs 250 for SC/ST candidates. After the exam, SBTET will release an answer key and results, followed by counselling for seat allotment.
