'2 abortions, desire for son, pool of bodies': Chilling details in Telangana triple murder

WARANGAL: A 26-year-old woman and her two young daughters were found dead in a swimming pool at a private layout on the outskirts of Punnole village in Hanamkonda district on Thursday morning. The deceased have been identified as Farhana (26) and her daughters, Umera (9) and Ayesha (5), all residents of Punnole village.

Father alleges murder, cites harassment

The woman’s father, Sk Ali, has accused his son-in-law, Md Azharuddin, of killing the three and attempting to pass it off as an accident.The accused, a resident of Jubileenagar village, had been married for the past six years and had two daughters. According to Sk Ali, Farhana was five months pregnant and her husband suspected that the unborn child was also a girl. Sk Ali alleged that Farhana had earlier undergone two abortions and had been subjected to continued harassment.

A birthday celebration

On Wednesday night, Azharuddin allegedly took Farhana and the two children to his land in a private layout on the village outskirts. Sk Ali said he celebrated one of the children’s birthdays there and had dinner with them. There is a swimming pool on the property. Sk Ali alleged that Azharuddin killed his wife and daughters there and later tried to portray the deaths as accidental drowning, informing family members on Thursday morning.

Probe under way, accused absconding

Family members who rushed to the spot found the three bodies in the pool. Parwathagiri police said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway. Police teams are searching for the accused.
